This match like previous matches played at Sharjah was a high-scoring one. DC got off to a rollicking start, both P Shaw and S Dhawan looked comfortable and took advantage of the short boundaries of the ground to score 50 for DC within 5 overs. S Iyer who has struggled throughout the series with his strike rate came in at number three, went berserk after getting his eye in. He started scoring run a ball, scored first 9 runs of 8 balls, thereafter 79 runs off the next 29 balls. Earlier building innings with P Shaw later on creating havoc while batting with R pant. Apart from A Russel none of the KKR bowlers were effective on this pitch.
