Royal Challengers Bangalore defeats Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs

Updated: Sep 22, 2020

RCB defeats SRH to start it's IPL 2020 campaign with a win.

SRH looked to be cruising towards victory when their score was 121 for 2 and out of the blue Y Chahal took two wickets in an over to bring the match in balance. V Kohli entrusted Dube to bowl during crucial moments and he bowled an excellent spell.

Earlier in the day, Padikkal and Ab de Villiers scored fluent half-centuries for RCB helping them set the target of 163 for SRH to chase.

SRH lost Warner early but Bairstow and Pandey must have instilled calmness in the hearts of their team by playing sensibly. Pandey got out when the team score was 89 although with Bairstow kept going and it seemed luck was on his side as he was dropped twice.
