Dream 11 IPL Match 8: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Preview

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The battle between the only two teams who haven't won a match so far in IPL. Winning this match is very crucial for either team.

Head to Head

The Head to Head between these two teams is fairly even.

In total, they have played seventeen matches out of which KKR have won 10 and SRH have won 7.

If we look at their last four meetings, both teams have won 2 matches each.

Top Players of KKR and MI

KKR:

  • A Russell: He batted two low in the previous match and by the time his time to bat came the match's fate was already decided. With the overall batting strike rate of 186.41 and an average of 33.33, he deserves to bat higher up the order.

  • D Karthik: He has been phenomenal with the bat in T20 cricket in recent years and he was the only batsman from KKR to who looked in touch. A lot is expected from him as a player and captain in today's match.

  • K Yadav: His international T20 record is better than in IPL and he struggled in the first match as well. He is a much better bowler than his first match figures suggest, he needs to come to the party for KKR to be effective.

  • S Narine: The mystery spinner and an unorthodox yet a swashbuckling batsman needs no introduction. He faltered with the bat in the first match but bowled pretty well in the first match as well.

  • S Gill: He is touted as the next big thing in Indian Cricket. He struggled to get going in the first match, however, he is expected to come good anytime soon. He is a class player, it could be his day today.

SRH:

  • D Warner: Failed in the first match but one can expect him to play a crucial knock today. He was the top-scorer in IPL 2019 and is full-time captain this year.

  • B Kumar: Bowled excellently in the first match with an economy rate of 6.25. SRH will rely on him to repeat his performance again.

  • R Khan: He didn't pick up a wicket in the first match and looked a little rusty, although one can expect him to pick up wickets in this match. His economical rate of 6.55 is phenomenal and is arguably the best spinner in the world in T20.

  • M Pandey: He did score 34 runs in the first match but would have to score faster for him to be effective in IPL. He was pretty solid in 2019 edition of IPL scoring at an average of 43 & would play a crucial role in the Middle-order for SRH.

  • J Bairstow: The best batsman of SRH in the previous match could play a major role in today's match as well. If Jonny and Warner click together KKR will surely be in big trouble.
