RR vs DC Dream11 Team, Probable Playing XI, Toss, Pitch and Match Preview: Rajasthan Royals take on Delhi Capitals in the 7th Match of the Vivo IPL 2021 in a battle of wounded soldiers. Both teams are missing key players, some due to injury and some due to extended quarantine period.
Two young wicket keeper captains of the tournament will square off in Mumbai. Both captains have impressed in their debut games. Pant was accurate as a captain with his field positions and changes; whereas Samson almost pulled of the game single handed, chasing a mammoth total. In head-to-head competitions the two sides have played 22 matches and have won 11 matches each.
Rajasthan Royals
It looks obvious that RR will play Liam Livingston ahead of Miller for his current form in T20 cricket. Also, if needed Livingston can roll his arm. The management also might bring in Andrew Tye as Mustafizur’s replacement who was quite expensive in the first game. Tye is a not only a T20 specialist bowler but is also a handy batsman. Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag will have to bat more responsibly, whenever they get an opportunity.
Delhi Capitals
Apart from the two openers Avesh Khan had an impressive outing against CSK in the season opener. Khan looked an accurate and improved bowler. Overall, the length that DC bowlers bowled at, made it difficult for the CSK batsmen to score freely. Since 2019 Dhawan has been batting at a strike rate of 143 during the power play. Chris Woakes certainly filled in for Rabada by bowling quick and picking up 2 wickets for just 18 runs.
Pitch Conditions and Toss
The wicket continues to favour the batsman. A high scoring match is on the cards. Bowlers who can offer variation might succeed, however 210 seems to be a par score. Side winning the toss will opt to bowl first.

RR vs DC Dream11 Wicketkeepers
Sanju Samson is my first-choice wicketkeeper batsman for the blinder he played against Punjab Kings. He almost pulled it off smoothly. History backs up with the fact that Sanju Samson plays these mind-blowing knocks at the start of the tournament. Jos Butler is my second wicketkeeper batsman. In absence of Ben Stokes, Butler is expected to open the innings who has scored 179 runs in 7 innings against RR with a destructive strike rate of 190.42. Unfortunately to fit in an extra All-rounder must drop Rishabh Pant.
RR vs DC Dream11 Batsman
Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are my first-choice batsman for the form they have been. In 19 innings Dhawan has scored 547 runs against RR averaging 32.17 and striking at 130.23, this includes 6 fifty plus scores. My third batsman is Liam Livingston who is expected to play his first game of the season. Livingston played a talismanic role for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. The English top order batsman scored at a strike rate of 138.15 in the recently concluded edition of the BBL.
RR vs DC Dream11 All-Rounders
Chris Woakes and Chris Morris are my first-choice all-rounders. The two quick bowlers were impressive with the bowl in their first game, picking up 2 wickets each. Marcus Stoinis is my third all-rounder who has enjoyed some success against Sanju Samson in the recent past. Stoinis has dismissed Samson twice in 12 balls and has given away only 18 runs. These three players have been smashing the ball with a strike rate of 130 and above in T20 matches.
RR vs DC Dream11 Bowlers
I am anticipating Andrew Tye to play this game. Tye comes in as a specialist T20 bowler. In case if he misses out, I will replace him with Mustafizur Rehman. Avish Khan is my second bowler who had an impressive outing against Dhoni & Co. Khan managed to bowl a disciplined line with some pace and was rewarded with couple of wickets. I anticipate him to replicate his performance. Chetan Sakariya is my third bowler; Sakariya had a dream start to his IPL career bagging three wickets and picking up an extravagant catch. At a tender age Sakariya seemed to be a calm and composed bowler steaming in during the death overs. Moreover, I have picked these bowlers for their abilities to pick up wickets during the death overs. I also believe this ground is a nightmare for spinners and that is the reason why I do not have any spinners in my team.
